         Dupa ce traieste o experienta amoroasa neplacuta in Statele Unite ale Americii, Frank Taylor decide sa calatoreasca prin Europa pentru a-si vindeca inima ranita. In tren, atragatorul Frank Taylor este abordat de catre o femeie eleganta, sofisticata, educata si frumoasa pe nume Elise Morde, care intentioneaza initial sa se foloseasca de el pentru a deturna atentia unui agent si a unei bande de gangsteri de la fostul ei iubit Alexander Pearce, un infractor cautat in 14 tari, care a furat banii unui mafiot. Intrucat englezoaica Elise Morde nu este cine pretinde ca este, Frank Taylor se trezeste implicat fara voia lui intr-un joc de-a soarecele si pisica, propria viata fiindu-i pusa in pericol. Numai ca nici Frank si nici Elise nu se asteptau sa se indragosteasca cu adevarat unul de celalalt in decorurile superbe ale Venetiei..

Summary: Elise (Angelina Jolie) randomly sits next to an American tourist, Frank (Johnny Depp), on a Venice-bound train. The police have been following Elise for over two years waiting for her to contact her lover, Alexander Pierce, who embezzled over $2 Billion from a mobster. The British Economic Police want to collect its share (taxes) of over $775 Million to be paid on this money. Frank, a math teacher, and Elise must evade the police, and also the mobster who’s money was stolen. The storyline is not complicated; the mobsters money man steals a large amount of his money, and he is now on the run for his life, plus the police want him too. The police don’t know what he looks like, so they need Elise to identify him. There is a story twist at the end.
